Yes. The person selling them is taking a risk, but if they want to sell them, let them do it. [IMG]

i would have to say no on this one selling a psd
your just helping people rip your work (not saying
everyone that buys a psd file is a ripper) but for the
ones that do they dont have to take a screenshot
or find someway to get yor sig they have the psd..
so i think if you sell the psd file and dont think its
going to get ripped your wrong.. :censored: expect it to happen ...
selling psd's is like asking someone to rip your work!!!!

Personally, I do think its a great risk. Ripping can go eaze as soon as you sell a PSD.

I think members should create 2 PSDs. One with their name clearly merged on the background. That way it is ONLY for learning purposes.

However if their quittin GFX to go pro or sumfin, then by all means sell all yah PSDs so yah can get some money for the life ahead... That way all those hours weren't too useless.

To be honest, im in 50/50 with this.

I vote no for many reasons and one is the fact that when they ask for full rights they can go to another forum and post up the work as their own. I have seen it happen before and also another reason is the one UV stated, I know some people use them for learning purposes such as myself but I don't rip them...just use them for getting ideas

On the other hand, if you sell your work it is your responsibility to make sure that the person you are selling it to doesn't rip and if they sell psd's then you can't ask for full rights because they can enter it in a sotw and win it with some of the better designer's sigs here

    I vote yes
Because the people that sell psd's are basicly giving you a sig
you are basicly buying there services
it up to the guy that is selling the sig whether he can or can not use it

Everytime I sell a psd i put my name somewhere on it and merge it into the brushing layers. That way they would have to rebrush it to make it their own work. So they might as well make their own sig. But I DO NOT allow anyone to claim it as their own! That's where all the noobs try to resell the sigs.

Well, since I got riped 2 times, now what I do is that I put my nick with about 30 of opacity/set blending mode to overlay somewhere that it wont affect the sig except if you look at it for 30 mins. so if anyone is going to rip me, there is a proof on it smoewhere that you can see by zooming at like 500%

see most of the votes are for, under strict rules..LOL!! bahahaa

2 bad theres so many creeps out there that dont give a damn about rules..
oh man..seriously.no psds, cause in like a couple of weeks, we are gonna be running into
a bunch of rippers, and gr will be a huge joke.'
psds are like the main market place thing..WHICH! there has been sold way way 2 many..
which there has been atleast 1000 or more rippers here that hasn't been caught..
think about it.. now one listens to rules anyways.. so lets sell no psds..
the internet is filled with rippers..someone will sell a psd.a week later complaining about someone ripping it...fun huh?

    Thoughtfuly thought by UV Soaked
-not banned..im at my friends house, getting him started with photoshop

    and btw.. he agrees also..
    cheers

Yeah, I agree, plus, when they sell the psd they can make the rules, like if it's for learning purposes, or if you can claim it as your own

should be allowed. the person whos selling it should make sure they put their name on it, not to be removed. best way to do this is to flatten the text (with your name in) into an important layer (render, brushing etc)

You must be kinda reffering to me.

Imo , people should be allowed to sell theyr psd's and the rights to theyr psds. Just how a Adobe bought Macromedia.
    Its just buisness.

Ive submittet TWO packs of psds, and both turned out good, 1000+ plus people downloaded them.I dont care if they ripped them or not.
Signatures are not worth that much to me.

like i said before.. no one fkn cares about rules.!

if everyone cared about rules.. the world would be perfect
but someone is gonna end up being ripped, and that guy is gonna be bitch'n untill he gets his way..

    so end the psds..
