This was a great read. I am new to this site, and GFX work in general, and was referred to this by a friend who works with photoshop/tags. Thanks for the info, I'll try to start from here
Wow this is exactly what I'm studying now in my classes. I never thought about throwing these design aspects into making sigs. This is a great thing for anyone to learn if they want to either become well at creating their own art or at least critiquing it. Major respect man.
I actually found a third and fourth type of balance listed: Radial Balance Crystallographic Balance (graphs and quilts) I don't know if they're "official," but it makes sense. Source. My favorite compositional method (or whatever we call them)! - Frames within frames. I love to use that (beginning photography major ) If people just kept these in mind for all the stuff they did, they'd get their sigs right the first time . Aside from know technique and all that... that comes with time. But these are the things that separate the amateurs from the pros. Literally.
Shouldn't your subtractive color diagram have CMYK instead? RBYK isn't a gamut -.- Haven't heard of triadic colors yet . We're going over elements and color in two of my classes right now, so it's cool to see this stuff here
Aye duke! Yeah, I learned a lot of this in High School Graphic design, but only the basics and ----- stuff. Great stuff for people to look at when designing.
