Ah, so I'm tired of my old tv. And my 19in flatty is not so great at handling games.

I'm looking at a new monitor, will run dual screens (on a 7950GT). I'm looking at screens with hdmi input so I can plug my xbox elite straight into the screen, I've been reading all night (4 plus hours) on the issue. It seems there are some problems with getting "true 1080p" or similar to display.

This "Hanns G" looks like a reasonable priced monitor with "everytihng" already on it.

    edit: forgot the link lol

    Thanks in advance,

As long as you're using a DVI input any 22" LCD panel should properly display 1080p.

I found that it works best with a 57" 1080i TV. :) :P But seriously, like Inverse said, as long as you're using the DVI input, it should have no reason not to display in 1080p according to the specs.

So is it worth it to get the hdmi monitor? Or should I get something different?

yes, but 1080i sucks. that's the problem.

it's effectively the same resolution as 720p and if you've been on the PC side of things you know 720p generally sucks and well...

It doesn't really suck... it's better than normal, so therefore it's good. :P

720p looks pretty good actually. It isnt the top of the line obviously but it is worth it.

If you are getting an LCD TV monitor I suggest Vizio. I know it's not a huge name but I do have a few tvs made by them and I have had no problems with them at all.
