maybe i should consider just buying all this ha cause i have been looking for a gaming computer myself but dont really have the money for one
Dont buy the 680i, thats the most piece of shit board I have come across. Seriously, I build systems every day, probably close to 50 systems a week, and I see more problems with the 680i then I do other boards. If your willing to go a little more, go with a 750, I dont have a link off the top of my head.
Really? My friend has the 680i with the same 8800GT BFG, but I don't think his GPU is OC'd and it runs fine. But with the 750, would you recommend XFX or Asus?
spend less on your board, go p45 get a HD4850 instead same cost, better performance, more stable motherboard, less BS.
Do you think you could provide a link for the board? Also I might go with the HD4850 I will eventually be building this up (SLI(or Crossfire), RAM, Cooling, Etc.)
Stay away from AMD/ASUS, they dont over clock for shit, seriously. And screw xfx too, go evga if you can afford it.
If you intend to overclock at all, I would stay away from AMD/ASUS. I am really not impressed with their boards lately at all. We have immense troubles over clocking them, and thats assuming we even get them to boot and install windows without any issues.
this is my recomendation for a board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813138123 no software RAID but that shouldn't matter
700W PSU is truly overkill...It's the biggest problem in america that people are thinking "bigger is better". I run a E8400 and a HD4850 card at a p45 mainboard on just a 420W PSU. It's enough, you just don't need that much more, especially when you're not going to OC.
700 PSU is not over kill. Read your card info man...alot of cards will NOT run without proper power. Especially the GTX series that just came out. Even my older Quadro would not run unless I had a 550 watt I believe it was.
