Have you guys heard of the €800 mouse? It's called the Titanium ID. The Dutch design studio Intelligent Design has developed the Titanium ID mouse which was already introduced at the Dutch Design Week 2009. As the name implies the surface is made of titanium. The rest of the body is made of high-quality plastics. So far only a few technical details about the wireless Bluetooth mouse have been revealed: The Titanium ID is hand-made and requires two AAA batteries. The surface is scanned via laser. The mouse features two keys plus scroll wheel. For 800 Euro you can choose between black and white. The Titanium ID supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS X. For a €800 mouse it sure has a sucky little scroll wheel, where by the looks of it, you actually have to pull back your finger way farther than any other mouse just to scroll each time when you have to (which is constantly). Ergonomic much? And titanium...? In order to click a button you don't grab a mouse and smash it repeatedly against a wall first. Also, for a €800 mouse they sure give a lot of information about it. Wait, they don't. What's the DPI? Not that it's too much of a big deal but even a €7,95 mouse gives away that information. How does the receiver look like? How large is it? Is it as small as as this one (https://store.9289.com.au/images/Logitech_S910-000956.jpg) that costs €29,95 ? Because if it's larger and thus has the size of the more common USB receiver it isn't recommended for using it on a notebook as it sticks out too much, increasing the risk of breaking off, and has to be removed each time it goes into a bag/sleeve. Or does it not have one and does your computer need to have Bluetooth by default? Mine doesn't, so after buying I'll be hitting the stores again for a single Bluetooth stick. Short version: it sucks.
They are not giving much technical detail about the product. Even Intelligent Design is only giving minor information about the product. They didn't state how high is the mouse's DPI.
DPI doesn't matter that much. Most gamers and artists dial it down from below the max anyway. how good is the tracking and responciveness?
