What does everyone think? ================================================ EDIT: I am going to add a logo soon to banner. ---------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks there is a div tag for a "side note" as i call it. and all coding as an example, it has a light blue background!
It's pretty neat. The concept is good, and the simplicity works. I find the two bars on the right somewhat off. I'm used to seeing one on each side. Perhaps you could add some web2.0 elements as well, to make it look less flat (you don't have to add glossy stuff everywhere, but playing with the background and the h1, h2, ... elements could make it look better. For example, the "html introduction" background is a solid grey, but you could make it have diagonal scanlines, or you could round the corners). But the simplicity definitely works, coding-wise as well
im actually liking the double side bars its different. and simple works best, if you are going to add arty to its. go for fade out on html intro: grey--->white(transparent) but really dont over do it scan lines have no place on that site. and if you bevel the edges it'll be out of place...unless you bevel the rest of it... but great as it is
