dell, baisc components, i had no problem installing it on my old dell though... <_<

EDIT: Heres the usual way that i would e-install XP

    1. Get my disks(xp disk and a windows 98 start-up disk to clear the hard drive)

2.put start-up disk in floppy drive

    3. clear hard drive

    4. install xp

now the only thing is, there is no floppy drive on this dell, but i have like 3 extra floppy drives that i had from old computers, is there anyway that i can hook one of those drivers up and try re-installing XP like that maybe?

You proberly installed it correctly you just need to go to the link in my other post and get the correct drivers .
you don't need to install a floppy drive unless you just want one .

Well some companies like Dell, Gateway, etc. have basically a custom made version of windows xp so it will work perfectly with the dell computers and if you have just regular xp then some drivers arent on their so you have to find the drivers and install them.
