I've spent the last few years OBSESSED with learning about the MBA admissions process as I want to get into a top program.

Within the next month I have interviews with(alphabetical order) Chicago(Booth), Northwestern(Kellogg) and Yale. I already interviewed at Dartmouth(Tuck) and am still waiting to hear back from UC Berkeley(Haas) who has a reputation for being slow on sending out interviews.

Excited. Still waiting to see what happens.

I'll see where it all goes. I don't want to get too excited. I've stressed out over this for WAY too long.

More specifically the admissions process to get into top schools.
For what it's worth, Harvard already said no.

They also said no... along with MIT and Wharton.

I'll see. I wasn't happy with my application to Booth - I felt like I could've done better. I ran out of time and was burnt out at the time... if i just had another day...
They liked me enough to give me an interview though which was half surprising. Yay having high numbers, a well put together resume and a good story.
I tried REALLY hard at all the places I applied.

Does each college require a separate essay about how great you are and why you belong with them?

It just seems very X-factor~ish pandering to the administration to get a place..surely your academic merits alone should get you in.

    Each has their separate application.
Also, beyond a certain point, PROFESSIONAL accomplishments matter more than academic accomplishments.
