dont know if it can have some to say about it... but it may can be spyware on your comp? tried run a spyware scan? ... had a problem simular to yours once.. and that issue then whas caused by spyware on my machine
check skin compatability. They make different skins for different versions of Fx. Merged Post: It should tell you when you are almost to the download page what versions it goes to/with. You should see it fairly easily.
Mozilla has just today released a new version of Firefox, and you probably auto updated when you diddn't know, so barely any themes would be compatible with it, including your current one. Just go on the prowl on the Mozilla website for themes that are compatible with the latest version, or switch to a lighter theme for your XP.
My littlefox theme is still going. Might give it a try if you cant find one. https://addons.mozilla.org/addon.php?id=307 -littlefox
Oh, I see, you updated firefox. Chances are it was what I said above, just without the "you diddn't notice it was updating" part. Lol, just saw that.
Actually, I was doing something and my lil bro, age 7 TT_TT crawled onto the computer and done...something =| What did he do?! I managed to get it working now. Seems Firefox was bugged and I installed a new skin and reverted to the one I wanted then it worked.
