ok i was messing around the other night looking at my gamecube when i noticed that my gamecube had a ATI Radeon 128mb gfx card, far better than the one currently in my PC, a cheep 64mb piece of crap.

so basically i want to know would it be possible to take the gfx card from my gamecube and put in place of the one in my pc and vice-versa.

I considered that myself... I think the way that they create the custum cards forn gaming units renders them unuseable in PCs though, they are probably shaped diferently.

Trust me I considered it, but figured it improbable... google for more info.

also, I thought of another thing, Where would you get drivers? Alsso doing so would ruin your gamecube as it's software is made specifically for the one card. Why ruin a 100$ GCn when you could just buy a 50$ card which is more powerfull than the GCs?

also, thanks for the +rep

I'd have to agree with zelink..i think the cards are a lot differently made...well..yea they just wont be compatible

Ye id say its just the technology thats the same, not the card. It may not even be a card in there, things like that may well be built into the circuitry to prevent illegal "upgrades"
