I think the D does take a way a little, but nothing huge, so, doesn't really matter if you keep it or remove it :P. I like the concept of it, looks like some cool effects there. I'd say tut it, although, I tut a lot of my signatures just so people can use them to learn, so, my opinion may not matter.
