This system is a simple news system, or in other words, content management that allows you to run your content from a XML file, where the info for the content in the XML file is using HTML tags.* This system is for the new users to ASP and XML but since the system is so easy almost anyone can use it as long as they know basic HTML, and have a windows web host or one that supports ASP, some Linux hosts do support ASP, if you don't know contact your host regarding this.

To update your content, simply open news.xml, and just add more <site_news date="DATE"> tags, and then after that, hit return, hit 2 spaces, and enter in your HTML code then hit return again, and hit </site_news>. Make sure its aligned correctly otherwise the system will NOT work.

Just remember you don't need to use: testnews.asp but basically all you need to do is add this at the top of your HTML file: <%@ Language=VBScript %> and where you want the content from the XML file to appear, place this code: * The system as you can see uses XML and VB Script, it is simple and you can have fun editing it, and uploading it.

Thanks for choosing this system, and happy coding!

The code is as follows:

NEWS.xml
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<site_news date="12/24/2004">
*<h4>12/24/2004</h4>
*

Site News</p>
</site_news>
<HR size=1>
<site_news date="12/25/2004">
*<h4>12/25/2004</h4>
*

Site News</p>
</site_news>

NEWS.asp :
<%@ Language=VBScript %>
<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
* <h1 align="center">Site News</h1>

*

</body>
</html>

Enjoy!
