I'm not voting because I look for all of the above in a magazine. I have to be interested in what's inside, it has too look good, I don't want to pay alot for it, and yes, it has to be well known or else I wouldn't be able to trust if it's worth the money.

All of them play a role to me, but there's an order of importance.

1. Content
2. Reputation
3. Looks/Price
4. Price/Looks

Maybe it would be better if you phrased the question as "Which is the MOST important when buying a magazine?"

I always look at the cover to see if there is anything exciting in the magazine, and if there is I'll buy it.
